与众不同的狼
Outside
the
Arctic(北极区),
humans(人
类)
and
wolves(狼)
dont
always
get
along.
They
often
fight
for
the
same
living
place
and
the
same
food.
Wolves
sometimes
kil
livestock
(家畜)
too,
causing
many
people
to
think
the
animals
are
dangerous.
Humans
often
kil
wolves,
so
in
most
places,
these
animals
have
learned
to
stay
away
from
people.
But
here
on
Elesmere
Island,
Canadas
northernmost
island,
it
is
so
far
away
and
so
cold
that
humans
hardly
ever
visit.
Only
a
few
scientists
have
ever
studied
these
Arctic
wolves.
Because
of
that,
theyve
never
learned
to
fear
humans.
There
may
be
no
other
places
in
the
world
where
wolves
would
let
a
human
sit
beside
them
like
Im
doing.
Its
why
I
travel
here
to
join
a
film
team.
Were
hoping
this
lack(缺乏)
of
fear
wil
alow
us
to
watch
these
animals
and
learn
how
they
live.
A
Ive
been
watching
these
nine
wolves
for
hours
now,
keeping
a
good
distance
(距离)
from
them
so
they
dont
feel
afraid.
B
They
know
I
am
there,
but
they
havent
paid
any
attention
to
me—until
now.
I
feel
afraid
as
we
look
at
each
other.
C
However,
I
remember
that
these
are
stil
wild
animals.
D
The
seven
smal
wolves
begin
to
walk
to
me.
They
come
close
to
me.
But
they
pass
me
and
get
to
the
dead(死的)
cow.
Most
of
the
meat
is
gone,
but
there
is
stil
much
left(留下
的)
for
each
wolf
.
Every
few
minutes,
one
of
the
wolves
looks
up
at
me.
But
none
of
them
seem
to
be
troubled
by
me.
I
relax
a
little
as
I
watch
them
