Dear Wang Hui,
I am sorry to hear that you have trouble in learning English well. Here is some advice.
First of all, it is important for you to listen carefully and take notes when you have lessons. Then, I think it is useful to watch English films in order to （为了）improve your listening. There are many excellent movies on the Internet. What’s more, you can’t learn English very well if you don’t use it. So I advise you to communicate/talk with your friends and classmates in English. In the end, it’s also a good idea to find an English pen friend and keep writing to them to practise your writing.
These are good ways to learn English. If you follow my advice, you are sure to improve your English.
Best wishes

Dear Peter,
I'm glad to receive your letter asking for my advice on how to learn Chinese well.
Here are a few suggestions. First, it is important to take a Chinese course, so that you can learn from the teacher and practise with your classmates. Then, I suggest that you should watch TV and read books, newspapers and magazines in Chinese as much as possible. Besides, it is a good idea to learn and sing Chinese songs, because you'll learn and remember Chinese words more easily. At last, don’t forget to make more Chinese friends. They will help you learn Chinese.
These are good ways to learn English. If you follow my advice, you are sure to improve your Chinese.
Best wishes
Li Hua
