   本单元的前几课时已学过过去完成时的用法，在此基础上，谈论过去发生的事件，为本节课的学习奠定了一定的知识基础。

学习目标

1.通过小组合作，会准确说出： fool, discovery, get dressed, show up, costume, embarrassed等的词性。

2.通过小组合作，能听懂有关谈论意想不到事情话题的词汇和句子的英文表达，并能捕捉有效信息独立完成相关听力任务。

3.通过小组合作，能用过去完成时谈论意想不到的事情。

评价任务

1.在组内说单词的词性，看谁说的又快又好

2听录音，看谁填的又快又好。

3在小组内，看谁的表达又准确又流利。哪一组能用更丰富的语句叙述过去的事情。

Step 1  

Task 1. I can read.

Read the new words by phonetic symbols on P93.Then draw new words in line and mark Chinese meanings .Finish the tasks in 1a and 1b in the end.
Task 2 I can write.

翻译下列短语：

1.愚人节

2.化装舞会

3.赶到、露面

4.邀请某人做某事

5.熬夜

6.get  dressed

Step 2 

通过自主学习，观看图片,小组合作，能听懂指令并且捕捉有效信息，完成相关听力任务。

Task 3：Listen to the tape and finish the listening tasks in 1c on P93.

                 Then listen again and finish the listening tasks in 1d.

               Listen to the tape and finish the chart.

                Check the answers.             

Step 3

  Students imitate the listening contents and have a dialogue practice about April Fool’s Day .Finish the tasks in 1e.

1.Students make dialogues according to the tasks .

2.Set scenes to perform the dialogues.
