There be 句型讲解

一、there be 句型，表达“什么地方或什么时候存在什么事物”。

析：there是引导词，be 是谓语，be后面的名词是主语。

eg:  There is a tall tree in front of the classroom.

eg:  There will be a meeting at the conference room at 8 o’clock tomorrow morning.

eg:  There was an old temple on the hill in the past.

eg:  There is going to be a concert in the park next Friday.

二、there be 的主谓一致问题：be 动词的形式按就近一致原则。

eg: There is a book, three pens and a bag on the desk.

eg: There are three pens, a book and a bag on the desk.

三、there be 的不同时态结构。

1. 一般现在时：There is/are ......
2. 一般过去时：There was/ were......
3. 一般将来时：there + is going to be  +主语+ 其他

              there will be......

4. 现在完成时：there have/has been +主语+ 其他
5. 过去完成时：there had been +主语+ 其他
6. 情态动词的there be句型：(1) there +情态动词+ be +主语+ 其他

(2)  there +情态动词+ have+ been +主语+ 其他

eg: There was a meeting in our school yesterday.

eg: There have been many great changes in our country since then.

eg: There can’t be any mistakes in his passage.

eg: There have also been soldiers from China , Sweden, Denmark.

eg: There have been many UN peacekeeping successes, but also some failures.

eg: We are aware that there might still have been enemy soldiers in the village.

 

四、there be 句型的变体:there be 句型中的 be 可以换成其他半系动词：go,

come, live , exist, lie, follow, occur, stand, ......

1. there + be + likely to be +主语+ 其他

2. there + used to be +主语+ 其他

3. there + need to be +主语+ 其他

4. there + happen to be +主语+ 其他

5. there + seem to be +主语+ 其他

6. there has to be +主语+ 其他

7. there have to be+主语+ 其他

8. there live +主语+其他

9. there exist +主语+其他

10. there occur +主语+其他

 

eg: There exists a problem in this matter.

eg: There is likely to be something wrong with his computer.

eg: Once upon a time there lived an old monk in the temple.

eg: There happened to be a seat in the dinning room.

eg: There occurred an accident on the road.

 

五、there be的非谓语形式.

eg: There being not enough time left, we have to hurry.  (= Because there is not enough time left,.....)  （独立主格结构作状语）

eg: There having been no water for 2 days , the travelers  were all very thirsty. （= Because there had been no water for 2 days,......)  （独立主格结构作状语）

eg: What is the chance of there being an election this year? （there being 结构作of 的宾语）今年选举的可能性有多大？

eg: I expect there to be many chances for him to get the job.  （there to be 作expect 的宾语）

eg: It is natural for there to be a generation gap between the parents and their child.

( there to be 作真正的主语）
