Students can know and use the words: found, lost, set, call, e-mail and some sentence structures below:

2. Strategy aim: Students can write the lost and found notices by using the structures they have learned before.

3. Emotional aims: Students can establish the good value on money and life through the short passage in this period.

【Key and Difficult Points】

Key point: Students can use the target structures to write a lost and found notice which contains name, thing, and telephone numbers.

Difficult point: Students can understand the format and requirements of a lost and found notice.

Teaching Methods: Communicative Teaching Method; Task-Based Teaching Method.

Teaching Methods: Self study, Pair work, and Group work.

【Teaching procedures】

Step 1 Warming-up

Brainstorming:

1. Write the school things you know.

2. Complete the chart with pronouns.

3. Guide the Ss to observe the picture in self check 3 and finish the conversations.

Intention: By brainstorming, students can have a good command of school things and pronouns, which is the first step to finish writing. And using the tasks to help the Ss prepare for the writing of this section.)

Step 2 Pre-writing

Mapping:

1. Self check 3: Invite some groups to perform the lost and found conversations. Then ask all the students pay attention to their work and write down some useful sentences that can be always used in a lost and found notice.
2. Work on 3a. Let the Ss review the factors the notice have in 2b. Then lead them complete the notices in 3a.
3. Analyze sample passages of 3a and map all the main factors.

Intention: Through the tasks in 3a to help the Ss map and get more structures which can make them write the notice easier.

Step 3 While-writing

1. Outlining: Analyze the structures and outline them.
2. Drafting: Ask the Ss to write their own lost and found notices. Invite 2 students to come to the board. In the process of students’ writing, the teacher inspects and guides all the students.
3. Peer-editing: Edit the work on the blackboard together and then ss edit their work in pairs.
4. Revising: Showing the marking standard for writing and explain the different levels. Ss revise and polish their work by themselves.

Intention: Through progressive writing tasks, Ss can practice their writing and consolidate the structures they learned in this unit. Providing the chance for ss to write.

Step 4 Post-writing

Proofreading:

1. Display another two model writing works. Check the notices on the board together, and ask other students to correct their work. Then summarize the key points in a lost and found notice.
