Greet the class briefly. 2. Discuss with the students like this: Teacher: Could you please tell me where the banks are? Students: ... Step 2 Presentation (1a) 1. Ask the students to match the pictures with the descriptions. Ask students to look at the picture on the screen. Make students focus on each picture and encourage them to talk about it. Step 3 Listening (1b) 1. Read the instruction. 2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. 3. Play the recording for a second time. Ask the students to complete the conversations in the picture in 1a. 4. Check the answers with the whole class. Then listen again and conclude all the phrases about how to ask directions. Step 4 Pair work (1c) 1. In groups, make conversations using the information in 1a.
