T: How many Chinese musical instruments do you know about? Present some pictures of instrument and lead Ss to answer it. Step 2 Before-reading Read the whole passage quickly and answer the questions. 1. Which musician is the passage mainly about? 2. What is the name of his most famous piece of music? Give an introduction to Ss about the background. Step 3 While-reading Task 1: Match the main idea of each paragraph: Para. 1: A. Abing lived a very hard life. Para. 2: B.
