As scheduled,the activity , with the theme of Read for the Future,started at 2 pm on Tuesday and lasted for 2hours at the assembly hall. After the hosts introduced the topic and judges,15 competitors delivered their speeches in turn, which were well received by the audience. They were graded on the language, outline,as well as performance, and were awarded accordingly. The activity benefited us a lot . Not only did it improve our English ability, but it also provided a great chance for us to show ourselves.
