Summer Library Program
Awaken your child's interest in reading by entering them for the Summer Library Program! Reading during the summer months helps prevent the summer slide, a decline in reading ability and academic skills. Research shows that participation in summer reading programs can increase reading skills, motivation, confidence, and enjoyment.
Challenge yourself to read all summer long!
Kids can earn a prize this summer by joining the Summer Library Program. Set a reading goal, explore activity challenges, and discover great books by reading throughout the summer.
Everyone who has signed up for the program will claim a prize after giving your reading record in to the library anytime before July 16.
How to start
Pick up your reading record from the Youth Services Desk. Or download and print your reading record by yourself. You can also download Beanstack, a reading record app。
How it works
★ Set a reading goal and start reading.
★ Track your progress on the reading record.
★ Complete 5 activities on the activity list on the reading record
★ Hand in your reading record and get your prize.
