To explain which of the dishes you would like to try most;
To introduce a typical Chinese food in your eyes.
1. Can you guess what this unit will talk about according to its
title?
The title of this unit is Food matters. I think this unit will be about food. It is likely that we will learn about different types of foods from different countries or areas.
2. What does the quotation from Chen Shou mean?
From my point of view, the quotation indicates that the importance of food to people is comparable to the importance of people to their countries. People cannot live without food and a country cannot exist without its people.
Food is as fundamental to man as the people are to the state.
―Chen Shou
