'What a pity!'Susan exclaimed.
Just then,a man hurried to the ticket office.
'Can I return these two tickets?'he asked.
'Certainly,'the girl said.

Grammar focus语法
1.The play may begin at any moment.
情态动词may在句中表示推测,might也可以表示推测,比may的可能性小一些;
Dad must arrive home on Friday morning.
Dad may arrive home on Friday morning.
Dad might arrive home on Friday morning.
2.It may have begun already.
may+have done表示对过去某动作的推测,might+-have done的可能性比may
+have done的可能性较小,must+have done的可能性最大。如:
I can't find my book.I must have left it at home.
I can't find my book.I may have left it at home.
I can't find my book.I might have left it at home.
3.May I have two tickets please?
can
Can I borrow your pen,please?
Could I borrow your pen,please?
May I borrow your pen,please?
4.We've sold out.
We've是We have的缩写形式。
The books are sold out.
5.I might as well have them.
might as well表示还是.好,与may as well的意思相同,只是might as well的语
