任何给心灵留下深刻印象的东西,在人们眼里似乎都是可爱的。

I know that it is the Sydney Opera House in Australia, and that it is one of the world’s most famous buildings.
The building looks quite beautiful, rising up next to the water like sails on a ship.

Cultural notes
The Sydney Opera House itself is one of the most iconic architectural structures in the world, designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon (1918–2008) in 1957, and is meant to look like either seashells or the sails of a ship. As Utzon’s original design was little more than a preliminary sketch, it took a number of years for the Opera House to be completed while architects and engineers tried to figure out how different parts of the building could be completed. However, when the building was finally finished and opened to the public in 1973, it was immediately considered a masterpiece of modern design. Today, the Opera House is in constant use for operas, ballets, and concerts, and is a popular tourist attraction.
