It contains four lessons. The first lesson is about “identifying family members”, the second lesson is about introducing family members”, the third lesson is bout “talking about family members”, and the last lesson focusing on “captioning family photos”. This lesson is the first lesson of Unit2. It’s a listening and speaking class. 教学目标及教学重点、难点 1. Language ability Be able to identify and remember the new words about family. Be able to use the sentence structure “Who is he/he? He/she is...” “Who are they? They are...”. Be able to discriminate the four phrases “This is/that is/these are/those are”, and use them correctly. 2. Learning ability To master listening and speaking skills such as predicting and note-taking. To take initiative and improve cooperative ability. 3. Thinking quality To brainstorm family-related content in real-life situations to enhance divergent thinking. To  develop critical thinking. To enhance creative thinking by interesting activities. 4.Cultural awareness To comprehend the importance of family in the Chinese traditional culture. To know the importance of the “nuclear family” in the western culture. To understand the subtle difference between Chinese family culture and Western family culture. Key Points: Students can understand the listening tape and answer the questions correctly. Students can talk about their family members fluently.
