Section 1　Listening and Speaking & Listening and Talking [听说指导] 抓住主旨大意 在听听力时要注意抓住主旨大意而不是翻译听到的每个单词。如： 听力试题 1．What did the boy do yesterday? A．He stayed behind after school. B．He worked after school. C．He slept in class. 2．What do we know about the boy? A．He prefers to go out and work soon. B．He has never passed any exams before. C．He is interested in neither school nor work. 抓住主旨大意 由以上题干和选项可知，此对话是关于一个男孩的学业问题的，他有可能表现优良，也有可能表现欠佳；他有可能既爱上学又爱工作；也有可能既不喜欢上学也不喜欢工作。我们在听听力材料时，抓住这个主旨认真听即可。 听力原文 W：Don’t you have any good news? M：No.Yesterday，I had to stay behind after school，because I was talking during my physics class. W：You’d better keep quiet during class. M：Sometimes I do.The day before yesterday，I was quiet during my history teacher’s class and I still had to stay behind after class. W：I don’t understand. M：Because I fell asleep during his class，but it wasn’t my fault.The lesson was very dull. M：I don’t see that it makes much difference.If I have a job，I have to do dull work every day，but if I’m in school I must listen to dull teachers every day. 仔细听原文，男孩在学校上课不是睡觉就是说话，表现不好，所以放学后被留校；由最后一段男孩提到的枯燥的工作和无趣的老师可知，男孩既不喜欢上学也不喜欢工作。 本单元主要帮助学生复习并掌握附加疑问句的升调和降调的基本知识。 英语语句中降调“↘”和升调“↗”的规则如下： 一、降调 通常可用来陈述一个事实，同时它还可用于特殊疑问句中，以获得更多的有关信息。所以在陈述句、特殊疑问句或感叹句中常用降调。 This is our classroom.(陈述句)↘ What’s your name？(特殊疑问句)↘ How beautiful the flowers are！(感叹句)↘ 二、升调 通常升调用于下列情况： 1．一般疑问句读升调： Are you a doctor？↗ Would you like some soup？↗ 2．陈述疑问句用升调： You are a policeman？↗ 3．未听清对方的话，要求对方重复一下用升调(以wh-开头的问句用升调常表示提问的人对所获得的回答没听清楚而要求对方再重复)： What?
