My uncle bought the tickets the day before to make sure we had good seats. Altogether, it only cost us both RM60. I was very excited and wanted a window seat on the left of the bus so that I could look outside. I had finished my packing and was ready but I could not sleep peacefully that night thinking about what I might have forgotten. By 8.30 a.m., we were at the bus terminal. It was crowded and hot. People seemed to be everywhere. We actually had to push our way through the crowd to get to the bay where our bus was. I felt sweaty and thirsty. Fortunately, our bus was air-conditioned so we felt better as soon as the bus started. We left at 9 a.m. on the dot. I was impressed by such punctuality! The bus was not full. The seats were quite comfortable. We could even recline our seats and stretch ourselves out to sleep. But I definitely did not plan on sleeping! I gazed out of the window to make sure I did not miss anything outside. The bus did not stop to pick up or drop off any passengers. We made one stop for rest and refreshments. One annoying thing was that the toilets at the place we stopped were filthy. If we want more tourists to visit our country, something has to be done to solve this problem. As we continued on our journey, I enjoyed looking out at the beautiful scenery and small villages. I could not stay awake much though I tried. As the loud chatting of the passengers slowly died down, I soon dozed off like most of the other passengers.
