In Japan,it is polite for people to slurp loudly if they are eating
noodles,because that means you like the food.
In Egypt,if you like the food,you can make a loud belch after
the meal.The cook will be very happy about this.
In Sweden,if you have a date with your friends,each of you
should share the bill.
In Crete,people like to eat their dinner after 9 p.m.Restaurants
are likely to be empty during the dinner rush in America.
In Brazil,people have their dinner very late,at about 10 o'clock at night.They never eat with their
hands.They always use a folk and a knife.They drink a lot of coffee and fruit drinks every day.They
like eating with their friends and family.
In Germany,it is polite to have both hands on the table at all times.But you shouldn't put your
elbows on the table.It's not polite to leave food on the plate.Waiters expect a 5 to 10 percent tip after
serving a meal.
In Italy,people take food seriously.They prefer to dine in a leisurely fashion.

On last Wednesday of August,people in Valencia,Spain,will gather in the small town to hold a
tomato festival(La Tomatina).The tradition is throwing tomatoes at each other.
