Describe Your First Senior High School Day
1. Teaching Objectives
(1) Students can understand the passage and master the common style structure of student profiles.
(2) Students can improve their reading ability and and grasp key information quickly.
(3) Students will be able to recall and consolidate their knowledge of junior English and be prepared for senior English studies.
(4) Students can express their thoughts and feelings about senior high school life fluently.

3. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in (5 minutes)
Ask students how they felt on their first day of school.(happy, anxious, worried, excited......) why?
Did anything impressive happen on the first day of school? What is it?
(Justification:this step can attract student’s interest and introduce the topic.)
Step 2 pre-reading (8 minutes)
Look at the title and pictures, ask students make a prediction what’s this article mainly talk about, and guess where this article is taken from.
(Justification:this step can provide some background information and pave the way for the following activities.)
Step 3 while-reading (20 minutes)

Ask students read the article quickly and find the main idea of each paragraph.
