Unit 5 Why do you like pandas? 一、单元分析 本单元围绕“animal ”展开一系列学活动。要求学生掌握一些新的动物名词,学会用表示性质和品质的形容词来描述动物,运用所学的知识表达自己的喜好,并能用“Why do you like . ..?Because . . ." 来陈述喜欢的原因。通过讨论动物让生了解大自然，增长地域知识,增进对自然环境的情感;通过讨论自身的喜好及原因,提高学生的认知、思维能力 这套教材采取循环滚动的内容安排体系,一个语言点重复出现的频率很高、本单元出现的语言材料,如动物生活的地域,在前面就学习过了;再如,一些描述性的形容词在平时的学习中已有所涉及教材对这些已有的语言项目进行拓展,由旧知引新知,循序渐进,逐步拓展 二、学情分析 通过《义务教育教科书英语七年级上册》的学习,大部分学生对why/where /what引导的特殊疑问句已具备较强的听说能力。而本单元学习的各种各样的动物更能激发学生的求知欲望,是他们熟悉又感兴趣的内容,有利于本单元知识的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。 3、 课时安排 第1课时 Section A 1a-2c 第2课时 Section A 2d-3c 第3课时 Section B 1a-1c 第4课时 Section B 2a-2c 第5课时 Section B 3a-self check 2 Period 1 ( 1a-2c ) 教学目标： ① To observe and describe animals. ② To talk about their preferences 教学重点:Talk about the animals and the reasons they like them 教学难点: Describe the animals and get to know where they are from 一次备课 二次备课 Step 1 Presentation Show some pictures of animals and learn the new words. Ask students turn to page 25 and finish 1a. Check the answers with the class. Step 2 Listening Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. Play the recording again and answer the questions. Step 3 Pair work Learn the description words and then do pair work Step 4 Listening (2a, 2b) 1. Show a map of the world and learn to say where the animals are from. 2. Play the recording the first time. Students write in the names of the animals. Check the answers. 3.Point out the adjectives and countries listed on the right. Ask a student to say the words.And then draw a line between each animal and the adjective and countries they hear. 3.Play the recording and have students match each animal with an adjective and a country.Correct the answers. Work on 2b Have students listen again and complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the answers. Check the answers with the class. Step5. Oral Practice (2c) 1.Let Ss practice the conversations in 2b in pairs
