( 3 ) Oxford English 7A Unit7 Clubs Fair Teaching design of Reading Period1 1. Analysis of teaching materials： The topic of this unit is “School clubs”, which is quite interesting. The Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing parts are all about school club, so by learning this unit, students can master this topic. Also, to make it more practical, students can use what they learn in the Reading to make posters. During the first period of Reading, Exercise A helps to lead in the topic and Exercise B&D provide the chance to strengthen the reading skills like skimming, scanning and detail-reading. 2. Analysis of students： Students in Class 4, Grade 7 are of middleEnglish level in our grade. There are 42 students in this class, most of them are in similar level. No one is extraordinarily good while no one is extremely bad considering English.In English class, they are active and would like to have activities and tasks. Some of them have rich background knowledge so that they have a lot to say. However, they are easy to get distracted. Therefore, I often design some tasks for them to cooperate and compete, to speak or to act. In this way, their attention can be gathered in the lesson. I hope that they can learn English while having fun. 3.
