Teaching plan for Unit 6 Listening Three cities in Asia I. Analysis for teaching materials(教材分析) This listening task is talking about three cities in Asia. It requires students to know some background knowledge about these cities. There are few difficult words in the listening material, so it is not difficult for students to understand the main idea of the description of these cities. II. Analysis for the students(学情分析) Most of the students are active in the English class. They are interested in travelling. But they are weak in listening and speaking. Some of them are quite afraid of speaking in class, because they are not confident enough. They have practiced different listening skills from time to time, but they are still not skilful about that. So I try to give them more chance to practice their listening skill and oral English. In this class, the focus will be on the listening sub-skill and speaking English. III. Teaching Objectives （教学目标） 1. Knowledge objectives（语言知识目标） 认读和理解单词Asia, dumpling以及短语places of interest；认识单词temple. 2. Ability objectives（语言技能目标） (1) 学会根据关键词和图片了解及辨别不同城市的特征，并将所听内容与图片配对。 (2) 巩固通过分析和判断词性及捕捉关键词来预测信息的听力技能。 (3) 运用听力材料的内容框架与句型表达，组织语言介绍自己所在的城市。 3. Emotional objectives（情感态度目标） 了解亚洲部分国家首都的景点和异国文化特征。 IV. Difficulty and Importance（重难点） 1. 听懂Sarah对3座亚洲城市的介绍，培养捕捉关键信息的能力。 2. 根据听力材料的内容和表达，结合本单元所学词汇和句型介绍自己所在的城市。 V. Teaching Procedures（教学过程） Part I 【Leading-in】 1. Ask Ss a question to review the topic “Travelling around Asia”. Q: What does Unit 6 talk about? 2. Show Ss a map of Asia, and ask them some questions. (1) Can you tell me some countries in Asia? (2) Would you like to go there? 3. Tell Ss they are going to take a trip to three cities in Asia during the winter holidays. 设计意图：激活背景知识，列举更多亚洲国家，导入话题。 Part II 【Warming-up】 1. Game time: Show Ss some photos about three countries in Asia and ask them to guess which country it is and what the capital is. 设计意图：使学生对即将旅行的国家产生浓厚的兴趣，带着好奇心去观察和了解不同城市的特征。 Part III【Listening Comprehension】 First-listening: Li
