第四讲　如何营造扣人心弦的故事冲突 一、冲突双方的“力量”要均衡 如果冲突双方的力量太悬殊，即其中一方的力量远远大于另一方，那么就会大大降低读者的心理预期，因而故事无法引起读者的阅读兴趣。所以，我们在设计冲突时，要让主要角色拥有的力量均衡。这样，读者才会对结局产生好奇：哪股力量会最后胜出？读者可能会非常同情某个角色，甚至理所当然地认为其一定会凯旋。但是只有实实在在、真真切切的危险，才能激发双方力量的转变，使“针锋相对”“棋逢对手”的冲突最终不可挽回地倒向一方。值得说明的是，“力量”有多种形式，可以是身体、魅力、知识、道德、财富、社会等级等，设计情节时，要挑选合理贴切的力量。 【典例展示】 请为如下语篇设计“力量均衡”的冲突。 With the kitchen door carefully locked from the outside, the man threatened to kill us if we made any noises and tried to escape．Soon we heard his heavy and hurried steps．We knew he went upstairs to search the bedroom for something valuable．I clearly knew it was the only chance to stop the robber continuing his crime．I exchanged silent glances with my brother．With my special trick in bounding up, he successfully reached out his hand to untie himself．Then he cautiously helped untie the ropes around me．Obviously, he was in great terror as I noticed his trembling hands and tearing eyes．After he made it, I kissed his forehead to comfort him．I encouraged him to pull himself together．Realizing the robber was committing the crime, I (1)力量分布： (2)力量形式： (3)可能结局： (4)续写： 【参考答案】 (1)力量分布：the strong robber vs the trapped and weak brothers (2)力量形式：physical strength and wisdom “I”， although physically weak, got us out of “trouble” with my wisdom eventually． (3)可能结局：The robber would be arrested． (4)续写：Realizing the robber was committing the crime, I cautiously opened the kitchen window．　However, it was too high for a kid to jump over．　I was feeling a desperate loss when I noticed the neighbor walking over．　F
