I have seen a film called E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial directed by Steven Spielberg. The alien in this film has a big head, two big blue eyes and a long neck. I was also very impressed by the alien’s long thin fingers. 【设计意图：快速引入单元话题。】 Step 2 Listening A1. Ask students to listen to the conversation and tell true or false. Suggested answers: 1. Setting: One spring evening in the park next to Paul’s house 2. Characters: Paul, a boy, and Alf, a grey alien 3. Plot: Paul hears a noise in the park next to his house and goes to investigate. When he arrives, he sees a silver object land in the park that looks like a spaceship. Suddenly, the door opens and a strange-looking being exits the object. The being is a grey colour and Paul realizes it is an alien. The alien tells Paul that he will take him to a new place. Paul is not afraid because the alien is friendly, so he enters the spaceship.
