The Analysis of the Teaching Material This lesson is from Section A, T1 (We will have a class fashion show.) of U8 in Students’ Book4, Project English. It mainly talks about different kinds of clothes. II. The Analysis of the Students The students of this class are from Grade 8. They are eager to learn English well. Half of their English is about the average level, half of them is under the average. And some of them are not active, so teachers have to find ways to make them active. III. Teaching Objectives At the end of class, students can ★master the new words and key sentences. New words: fashion, costume, tie, scarf, sweater, blouse, socks, handbag, jeans, cotton, silk. New phrases: be made of ★improve the abilities of listening and speaking. ★develop the taste for fashion. ★further understand Chinese culture and enhance their sense of Chinese cultural identity. IV. Teaching Methods In this class, various teaching methods are used, such as Task-based Teaching Approach and Situational Teaching Approach. And a video and some cards of vocabularies are also used.
