第3讲　介词 Ⅰ 介词的概念及分类 介词是一种虚词，不能单独使用，须用在名词、代词、动名词或宾语从句的前面。介词可以分为以下几类： 高频介词短语 in spite of 尽管　　　　　regardless of 不管，不顾 thanks to 多亏；幸亏due to 由于；归咎于 because of 因为，由于on account of 由于 owing to 由于as a result of 由于 in terms of 就……而言but for 要不是 instead of 代替；而不是according to 根据 in front of 在……(外部)前面 in the front of 在……(内部)前面 apart from 除……以外 Ⅱ 介词的句法功能 Ⅲ 重要的介词辨析 一、表示时间的介词 ①在以下短语中，at用于表示时间段。 at dinner time在(吃)晚饭时 at weekends/the weekend在周末 ②当时间名词前有this, that, last, next, every, each, some等词修饰时，通常不用任何介词。 this morning今天上午　last year去年 ③“on＋名词或动名词”结构可以表示“一……就……”。 On my arrival/arriving home, I discovered they had gone. 我一到家就发现他们已经离开了。 二、表示方式的介词 三、表示地点的介词 四、表示原因的介词(短语) “两招定向”解决语法填空中的介词问题 1．分析句子成分 如果句子中不缺少主语或表语，动词后又不缺少宾语，则在名词、代词或动名词前一定是填介词。 对点训练 ①She patted him on the head and said, “My little boy, do you feel more comfortable now than before？” ②But can uniforms help improve school standards?
