Lead-in (10分钟) (A) 1. T introduces the teaching objectives of this lesson. 2. T shows the pictures of previous class to Ss and asks Ss to retell the story they have already learned. 3. T guides Ss to predict what would happen later. (B) 1. T asks Ss to describe what they can see from the two pictures on Page 42. 2. T asks Ss to predict what difficulties or challenges the rescue team would have to face. 3. Ss discuss about the question and guess possible solutions Step II. Listening-Listen for the general idea (5分钟) 1. T guides Ss to look at task 2 and try to predict the answers. 2. T plays the record for the first time and asks Ss to finish task 2. Step III. Listening-Listen for cause and effect (25分钟) (A) 1. T asks Ss to read the 4 questions in task 3 and try to find out the similarity. 2. T guide Ss to read the tips of identifying cause and effect. 3.
