The year 2040 sounds like a long way off. By that time, what will technologies have looked like, and what changes will they have brought to classrooms? Here are some examples of what we may see in schools in the coming years.
Interactive walls(互动墙)
In traditional classrooms, teachers write on blackboards. But in the future classrooms, teachers will write all the important points on interactive walls. The difference is that interactive walls can also show what students have written on their own desks. It can encourage them to take part in classroom activities and to become more active in their learning.
Holograms (全息图)
What does the inside of a planet look like? Most of us learn about this from photos in books. But it is hard to imagine and to understand a planet only through the use of flat pictures. Students in the future are likely to have a very different experience. With the help of holographic technology (全息技术), they can learn from 3D-images (三维图像) that are projected inside of the classroom.
Virtual reality(虚拟现实)
Virtual reality has been used to teach pilots how to fly planes. In 2040, it may provide students with immersive scenes (沉浸式场景). For example, when they learn about an ancient queen, they will be able to “walk” in her castle. They will not only read about history, but also “experience” it.
