第 4 课时　 状语从句 一、时间状语从句 1. when, while, as引导的时间状语从句 连词 用法 从句谓语 when 表示主句的动作和从句的动作 同时发生,或从句的动作发生 在主句的动作之前 其动词既可以是延续 性动词,也可以是非延 续性动词 while 表示主句和从句的动作同时 发生 从句 的 动 词 是 延 续 性的 as 表示主句和从句的动作交替或 同时发生,意为“一边……,一 边……”或“随着……” 从句的动词一般是延 续性的 　 　 When you apply for a job, you must present your credentials. 当你申请工作时,必须递交有关证件。 While the teacher paraphrased the text in English, the students listened attentively and took notes. 当老师用英语解释课文时,学生们一边聚精 会神地听着一边做笔记。 He saw that she was smiling as she read. 他看到她一边看书一边笑。 例 1 (2023·山东省烟台二中高三质检) It was the middle of the night my father woke me up and told me to watch the football game. 句意:午夜时,我父亲叫醒我,让我看 足球比赛。 分析句子结构并结合句意可知,空处 引导时间状语从句,表示“当……时”,从句中的 谓语 woke up 是非延续性动词词组,故应用 when 引导从句。 when 2. 表示“一……就”的连词引导的时间状语 从句 连词 例句 as soon as, once As soon as we got home, the telephone rang. 我们一到家,电话就响了。 directly, immediately, instantly I recognized her immediately I saw her. 我一看见她就认出她来了。 hardly / barely / scarcely􀆺when, no sooner􀆺than He had no sooner arrived home than he was asked to start on another journey. 他刚一到家,就被要求再次出差。 3. after和 before引导的时间状语从句 after 意 为 “ 在 …… 之 后 ”, before 意 为 “在……之前”。 I􀆳ll call you after I speak to them. 我和他们谈过以后就给你打电话。 Please write it down before you forget it. 趁你还没有忘记之前就请把它记下来吧。 例 2 (2023·河北省邯郸一中高三模拟) her fourth video went viral(走红), she continued to make short videos and, in 2021, became a full-time content creator on the platform. 句意:在她的第四段视频走红后,她 继续制作短视频,并于 2021 年成为该平台的全 职内容创作者。 分析句子结构并结合句意可知, 空处引导时间状语从句,意为“在……之后”,故 应用 after 引导从句。 After 4. until/till引导的时间状语从句 till 和 until 同义, 意为 “ 直到 …… 时 ( 为 止)”。 not until 置于句首时,主句要部分倒装。 Donald will remain in college until ( till) he finishes his Ph.
