(A) Last year, I went to a summer camp in the United States with my classmates. It was my first time to go abroad. I lived with a host family in Los Angeles for five days. My host family was friendly and gave me lots of advice. I also took some classes. They were different from the classes I’ve had back home. During my visit, I also went to some famous universities. We learnt about the history behind the universities. (B) My name is Brad Li. I stayed with a host family in a small town in America. My host parents were very kind. They organized many activities for me in my free time so that I wouldn’t miss home or feel lonely. However, life in the US was difficult to get used to. My main problem was the language. I failed to understand much in the first few weeks because everyone spoke so fast. Another one was the food. My host family always had bread, potatoes and salad for meals. I really missed the dumplings, rice and delicious dishes from home. Tom felt very hot, so he __________ __________ his coat. 2. I’ve stayed up late for several nights, so I am __________ __________ __________ today. 3. She will take part in the__________ __________ on behalf of our school. 4. They __________ __________ fireworks to celebrate the National Day. 5. _________ __________ __________ __________, it is not easy to learn a foreign language well. 6. _________ __________, Jack couldn't get used to the ________ ________ __________ in China. 7. Everything here ________ __________ ________ ________. 8. Do you like reading __________ __________ __________ __________? 9. __________ my sister __________ I study in the same junior high school.
