现在分词作状语时有时态和语态的变化,现以do为例,介绍一下其形式:
主动形式 被动形式 时态意义 语态意义
一般式 doing being done 表示分词动作与谓语动作(几乎)同时发生 主动形式表示构成分词的动词与句子主语之间是逻辑上的主谓关系;被动形式表示构成分词的动词与句子主语之间是逻辑上的动宾关系
完成式 having done having been done 表示分词动作先于谓语动作发生
(1)一般式:doing 表示动作与谓语动词的动作同时或几乎同时完成。
Turning around,she saw a car driving up.
她转过身,看见一辆小汽车开过来。
(2)完成式:having done 表示动作发生在谓语动词之前。
Having worked hard all day,I went to bed early.
辛苦工作了一整天后,我早早就上床睡觉了。
(1)主动式:句子主语与现在分词表示的动作之间是主动关系。
Seeing the beautiful sight, the children felt happy.
(2)被动式:句子主语与现在分词表示的动作之间是被动关系。
Being protected by the thick wall,they felt they were quite safe.
由于有厚墙保护,他们感到很安全。
Having been shown around the lab,we were led into a big hall.
参观完了实验室,我们被领进了大厅。

Grammar 2 现在分词作状语的类型
作时间状语。
通常放在句首,相当于when/ while/ after等引导的时间状语从句。
Putting on his clothes (=After he put on his clothes), Bill went out in a hurry. 穿上衣服后, 比尔匆忙离开了。
Arriving at the party(=When she arrived at the party), she found all the people gone. 到达聚会时,她发现所有的人都走了。
Grammar 2 现在分词作状语的类型
作原因状语。
通常放在句首,相当于as/ because/ since/ now that 等引导的原因状语从句。
Being ill (=As he was ill), he could not walk any farther. 因为生病,他不能再往前走了。
Being anxious about his child’s safety (=Because he was anxious about his child’s safety), he couldn’t fall asleep.
因为担心孩子的安全,他不能入睡。
