定语从句（二） 1、 关系副词引导的定语从句 功能及用法：关系副词代替与其相对应的先行词，并在从句中起时间、地点、原因、方式等状语的作用。关系副词在意义上常常相当于“介词+which”的结构，如： when = in/on/at/during...which where = in/at/on...which why = for which how = in which 关系副词的功能以及在从句中的作用，见下表 关系副词 被代替的先行词 在从句中的作用 when 表示时间的名词 时间状语 where 表示地点的名词 地点状语 why reason 原因状语 how way 方式状语 （1） when引导的定语从句 用法：when指时间，在定语从句中做时间状语。 例句： The time when (at which)we got together finally came. 我们相聚的时刻终于到来了。 （先行词是the time, when 是关系副词，在从句中做时间状语） I still remember the day when (on which)I first came to school. 我依然记得我第一次来学校的那天。 造句练习： 1. 你记得我们开始学习英语的时间吗？ 2. 我们一起踢足球的日子太有趣啦！ （2） where引导的定语从句 用法：where指地点，在定语从句中做地点状语 例句：The school where (in which) I work is near from here. 我工作的学校离这儿很近。 (先行词是the school, where是关系副词，在从句中做地点状语， 简单句可以理解为 I work in the school.） Is this the place where (at which) that traffic accident occurred? 这就是那场交通事故发生的地方吗？ 造句练习： 1. 我会记得我们一起打篮球的那个操场。 2. 我十年前住的那个房子已经被卖掉了。 3. 天津是我出生的地方。 （3） why引导的定语从句 用法：why指原因，在定语从句中做原因状语 例句：Please give me a reason why (for which) you were late today. 请给我一个你今天迟到的理由。（先行词是reason, why是关系副词，在从句中做原因状语） The reason why he missed the train was unknown. 他没有赶上火车的原因还没人知道。 造句练习： 1. 我不知道他今天不开心的原因。 2. 他拒绝邀请的原因不清楚。 注意：how引导的定语从句比较少，它通常在从句中做方式状语，如Please tell us your way how you have learned English so well. 请告诉我们你英语学得这么好的方法。 专项练习： 1、 填入适当的关系词并翻译整个句子。 1.
