Unit1 Guidance on Reading 教学课题 第六课时 Guidance on Reading Points for Attention 授课日期 2023.2.23 授课教师 Sunny 教学目标 【知识目标】 Important words: At all levels, all year, maximum, laboratory, accommodation, selected families. Important sentences: 1. Lincoln College of English takes in foreign students, from beginners to the advanced. 2. While you stay there, the family you have chosen will take care of you. 3. Course fees for English for one year are 1,380 with reduction for shorter periods of study. 【能力目标】 To know the matters which need to pay attention. 【情感目标】 （1） Use the words soundly according to their meanings. 教学重难点 重点: usages of reading strategies. 难点：structure of passages. 教学过程 ◆Step 1 Warming-up and revision (1) Small talk (2) Talk about the sentence structure that you’re familiar with, try to make sentences with the words. 设计意图 从活动引入，调动课堂气氛，引发学生学习兴趣 ◆Step 2 Introduction 1. Ask Ss to look at the board and check the word to see if they know them. 2. Show some examples of how the sentence work. 教学过程 ◆Step 3 Presentation We need to read the passage by the following steps. 1. Skim. Try to read the passage quickly and skim for the main idea. 2. Read the questions. When we read the questions and try to understand its meaning. Then we use our memory to find out the answers. 3. Scanning. Scan for the details and facts and then judge by these information. 4. Careful reading. We need the read the context and find out the logical thinking of it and make a mind map of your own, which is helpful for us to understand the passage.
