As the passage goes on, the author talks about the history of books including the invention and innovation of books from handwritten to printed and digital books. How: The type of this reading text is an exposition and the language point of the unit is how to give reasons and results. The “chronologic order” and “logic order” are applied correspondingly to combing narration with description to show feelings. Why: After learning this lesson, students’ reading ability like 1) guess the main idea of a passage through reading the title and 2) identify the implied meaning of author writing the passage.
