教 学 过 程
1. Pre-reading:
(1) Watch a video clip to catch a glimpse of Christmas and list related words and phrases. (Teaching aims: It allows students to enlarge their vocabulary.)
(2) The teacher asks students to observe the pictures. (Teaching aims: It can arouse students’ interest in learning the context.)
2. While-reading:
(1) The teacher asks students to read the first paragraph to confirm their their prediction. (Teaching aims: Students can get to know some basic information.)
(2) The teacher introduces the reading strategy and asks students to scan the passage to get to know more about the text. (Teaching aims: Students can learn about the reading method and try to master it.)
(3) The teacher asks students to skim the passage to figure our the type of the passage. (Teaching aims: Students can learn about the new type of a passage--book review.)
