There aren’t a lot of flowers in the vase. （3）一般疑问句： Is there+单数可数/不可数句词+地点状语? Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t. Are there+复数主语+地点状语? Yes, there are./ No,there aren’t. --Is there a dog under the tree? --Yes, there is. --Is there some water in the bottle? --No, there isn’t. Are there a lot of flowers in the vase? --No, there aren’t. （4）特殊疑问句： 特殊疑问词+is there+单数可数/不可数句词+地点状语? 特殊疑问词+are there+复数主语+地点状语? How many people are there in the picture? How much water is there in the bottle ? Where are a lot of flowers? 三、就近原则： There be句型中be动词的单复数形式由最近的一项的单复数决定。 There is a pen, two books and many pencils on the desk.
