一、教学设计与说明
1. 教学目标
本课为本单元的第 2 课时,核心目标为引导学生能在语境中学些和运用课文核心词汇,理解并运用同义词。
2. 设计思路
本课由Personal Touch导入,学生们课堂上进行互动交流,回顾第 1 课时所学的同时,激活学生关于“动物园是好事还是坏事”的讨论。随后,学生将目标词汇与话题联系起来,在语境中理解词汇意思及用法。随后,学生将语篇作者的观点态度的词代入理解人们对话题的两种截然不同的观点和感受。理解“同义词”的定义;鼓励学生从自己的词汇中列出更多同义词,建立自己的词库。最后,学生根据今天掌握的核心词汇,从过往的词汇积累中写出同义词,可以通过查找字典或者小组讨论的方式拓宽词库。本课作业为根据今天所学的目标词汇的,找到其对应的近义词,并且完成书本上对应的习题,以巩固对核心词汇的运用。
3. 重点难点
正确运用目标词汇表达对待同一事物的不同观点,通过学习同义词,构建学生自己的同义词词库。
Lesson Plan
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. further explore target words in context;
2. express opinions about “animals” with target vocabulary;
3. understand the introduction to “synonyms” and try to find more “synonyms” to enlarge vocabulary.
Procedures:
I:Lead-in
Teacher: Guide students to show their opinions with various meanings in Personal Touch.
Students: Share answers and ideas in groups and in class.
Purpose: To connect the first and second period of the lesson; prepare for the topic to be discussed in this period.

Do you like visiting zoos? Why and why not?
What animals do you often see in a zoo?
What do animals do there? How do they look?
Do you think the animals enjoy their lives in a zoo?

II. Meaning and use of language expressions
be aware that
Teacher: Guide students to understand the meaning and use of vocabulary and facilitate further understanding of the text.
Students: Share opinions by using “be aware that”.
Purpose: To understand and correctly use “be aware that”; know how to voice opinions.
Guided questions:
When you are aware that people may have different opinions on the same thing, how to voice your opinions ?
2.concern
Teacher: Guide students to understand the feeling of worry and correctly use expressions.
Students: Understand the reason why people show their concern “concern” for animal welfare.
Purpose: To understand and correctly use concern” and related expressions.
