Bernard Dewit, chairman of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, noted that given the progress of the past 40 years, it’s understandable why most Chinese people are proud of their country.
While patriotism is the spirit that bonds the nation together, family plays a big role in traditional Chinese culture.“My Chinese friends get married and have babies when they turn a certain age,and Chinese friends think about their family first when they choose a job or quit one,”said Aaron Cedillo, an English teacher at an elementary school in Beijing.
