教师活动:教师让学生阅读第29页文章,回答下列问题。
(1) Which of the above inventions do you use most frequently? Why?
I use emojis most frequently when I message my friends. They look cute, and are a quick and easy way to express how I am feeling.
(2) What other facts do you know about the Internet?
The term "surfing the Internet" was first popularized in print by Jean Armour Polly, a librarian, in 1992. In 2010, Finland became the first country to make Internet access a legal right.

1. 教师活动:阅读文章前,引导学生思考下列问题。
(1) What do you often do on the Internet?
I use the Internet to search for information that helps me with my homework. I use it to read about the latest news on topics I am interested in. I use communication software to keep in touch with my friends. I use different apps to listen to music, take photos or play games. I enjoy shopping online, so I sometimes order food or clothes from my favourite restaurants or stores. I watch films or TV shows to relax when I have free time.
(2) What effects do you think the Internet has on your life?
I depend a lot on the Internet to keep up to date with what is happening and to arrange my daily life. I stay in touch with my friends and family easily on my phone. Watching films or playing games online in my spare time is one way to entertain myself. The Internet makes my life less stressful because everything is conveniently available at the touch of a button. Without it, my life would be very different.
