be 动词的过去式及用法
一、be动词的过去式包括was和were。 比较be动词的现在式和过去式：
主语 | 一般现在时 | 一般过去时 |
I | am | was |
he, she, it及单数名词 | Is | was |
we, you, they及复数名词 | are | were |
二、含有be动词的一般过去时句式
1. 肯定句结构：主语+was/were +其它。 如：
I was at home yesterday.
There were some students in this school ten years ago.
2. 否定句结构：主语+was/were + not + 其它。 如：
I was not/wasn’t at school yesterday.
There were not/weren’t any apples in the fridge just now.
注意：was not = wasn’t were not = weren’t
3. 一般疑问句结构：Was / Were + 主语 + 其它?
肯定回答：Yes, 主语 + was / were. 否定回答：No, 主语 + wasn’t / weren’t. 如：
-Was there any juice in the bottle then?
-Yes, there was. / No, there wasn’t.
Were you happy at the party last Sunday?
-Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t.
***注意：I was…改一般疑问句，变成Were you…?
4. 特殊疑问句结构：特殊疑问词 + was/were + 主语 + 其它？ 如：
Helen was here yesterday. Who was here yesterday?
I was happy at the party. How were you at the party?
5. be 动词一般现在时和一般过去时的转换。
