He did a double take. 他惊讶地又看了一眼。 do a double take: to react after a pause, because you are surprised by what you have just seen or heard 惊讶地又看了一眼 e.g.  I did a double take — I couldn’t believe it was her.  2. … I wonder if you could throw in that old saucer. ……我想知道你能否免费赠送那个旧茶碟。 throw in: to add sth to what you are selling without asking for more money 免费赠送;额外奉送 e.g.  Pay £4.80 for larger prints and they throw in a free photo album. 【拓展】 throw in 无意中说;随口说 e.g. Occasionally Tom threw in a question. 3.
