Ⅰ.发音规律
语音技能——辅音连缀的发音规律
辅音连缀是指在同一意群内(通常为一个单词内),有两个或两个以上的辅音音素结合在一起的一种语音现象。如desk/desk/中的/sk/,friend/frend/中的/fr/,以及spring /spri/中的/spr/等。辅音连缀经常发生在词首和词尾。辅音连缀读法主要包含以下几种:
1.一般读法
在朗读时,辅音连缀任何两个辅音间都不能加上元音。如:把/frend/读成/fərend/就不对了。正确的方法是第一个音(或第一、第二个音)要读得轻而短,很快过渡到第二个音(或第三个音)上去。
2./s/后面爆破音的读法
当清辅音/p/, /t/, /k/在/s/后面时,无论所属音节重读与否,都不送气,发音类似于它们各自相对应的浊辅音,但又不完全相同,区别在于:它们发音时声带不振动。如:
school /skul/ n.学校
student /stjudnt/ n.学生
3.词尾加s, es, ed后的读法
(1)一般情况下,可遵循以下规则:清对清,浊对浊,元音也对浊。也就是说词尾音是清辅音的,加s或ed之后,就发清辅音/s/或/t/;词尾音是浊辅音或元音的,加s或ed之后,就发浊辅音/z/或/d/。
例词:
books /bks/ n.书籍(复数)
knows /nəz/ vt.知道
(2)词尾音为/t/, /d/,加s后就分别读成/ts/和/dz/。例词:
cats /kts/ n.猫(复数)
gifts /gfts/ n.礼物(复数)
(3)词尾音为/t/, /d/,加ed后,分别读成/tId/和/dId/,例词:
invited /nvatd/ v.邀请(过去式)
visited /vztd/ v.拜访(过去式)
(4)词尾音为/s/, /z/, //, //, /t/, /d/等,加es后读/Iz/,例词:
boxes /bksz/ n.小木箱(复数)
sizes /sazz/ n.大小(复数)
Ⅱ.听力策略
利用上下文猜测单词词义
1.听力过程中如果遇到生词,应该对生词所在句的内容进行整体理解。
2.若生词后面出现诸如同位语、定语从句等,它们起着修饰、解释说明的作用,而文中出现的or,that is (to say), namely, similarly, in other words等连词、副词或短语也很重要。
3.如果文中出现了举例的情况,可以对所举的例子进行适当归纳,从而猜出该生词的含义。
4.充分利用你所了解的主题内容来猜测词义。
