always 和 never 分別表示出现的频率是100%及0%。至于 usually 和 often 的使用,则看事情发生的频率接近 always 的远近来決定。下面是这六个频率副词的比较:never seldom sometimes often usually always.
频率副词在句中的位置
1. be 动词 ┼ 频率副词 → 在 be 动词的「后面」 例 1:It is usually cold in winter.
2.频率副词 ┼ 一般动词→ 在一般动词的「前面」 例 2:They often play together.
3. 助动词┼ 频率副词 ┼ 本动词→ 在助动词与本动词的「中间」 3:Do you ever go to class late?
