The grammar target of this unit is one aspect of the structure of an article-the elements of a paragraph. We will learn that paragraphs are used to organize information in an article and what is usually included in a paragraph. This will help us write an article better. We are expected to put what we have learnt into practice by finishing two exercises.

Paragraphs are one of the major building blocks(组成部分;构成要素) of good writing. They are used to organize information in an essay, a story or an article. When writing paragraphs we usually include the following:
1. Topic sentence
Each paragraph should have a point. This is usually expressed in a topic sentence, which clearly states what information the paragraph will give.
