attributive clauses
Find out the the non-restrictive attributive clauses in the e-mails:

The non-restrictive attributive clause can be left out.
We can’t use “that” in it.
We can’t miss the relative words, either.
Find out the differences:
I know the people.
I know the people who robbed the bank.
I have many friends, who are businessmen.
He was very rude to the custom officers, who wanted to look through his suitcase.
He was very rude to the custom officers, which of course made things even worse.
What’s the difference?
More examples:

The result of the experiment was very good, which we hadn’t expected.
Jack was late again, which made his teacher very disappointed.
He missed the show, which was a great pity.
Tip 1: Here, we know we can use “which” to refer to the whole main clause, and we can’t use “that”.
