Unit 3 Celebration Communication Workshop 1、 教学目标 Three-dimensional targets: Knowledge and skills: 1. To write a description of an event using an appropriate layout and linking words. 2. To develop students’ writing ability: students can use what they have learned in this lesson to describe a party. Process and methods: Brainstorm words related to parties by speaking. Learn to write by reading a model passage. Writing by discussing, summarizing and practicing with the teachers’ guidance. Emotion,attitude and value: 1. Cultivate students’ interests in writing a description of a party. 2.Develop students sense of cooperating with each other by working in pairs and in groups. 2、 重点难点 Keys and difficulties: 1. To learn the example of the birthday party 2. To be able to describe a party with proper layout, linking words and useful vocabulary. 3、 教学过程 讲授 Step 1. Lead-in Show some pictures about parties and ask students:  “Have you ever been to a party?” Can you describe a party you have been to? Intention: to arouse students’ interest in writing and bring in the topic today. Step 2. Brainstorm the words related to parties. Can you think of some words to describe a party?(学案I) To make it easier,I will show students some pictures to help them to brainstorm the words related to parties before writing, because students are lacking in vocabulary about a description of a party. Step 3. Match and summarize the layout and take notes of each paragraph. Please read the description of the birthday and match these topics with the paragraphs.(学案II) Summarize the layout of describing an event.             Para.A     introduction             Para.B     the beginning             Para.C     development             Para.D     conclusion Task 1 and task 2 are designed to help students summarize the layout of describing an event. 3.Find out the details of each paragraph.(学案III) Intention: help students go into the details of each paragraph.
