Unit 5 When's your birthday?
【第一课时】
【教学目标】
I. 语言目标:
1.词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August及月份缩写形式和词组International Children's Day;能听、说、读、写单词May, month, year, birthday.
2.句型:能用“When's your birthday?”及回答“My birthday is in...”、“It's on the ...of...”进行对话.
II. 应用目标:
1.能听懂、会说A部分的对话.
2.能指认一月至八月的单词.
3.能正确表达一月至八月中的具体日期.
4.能借助图片和提示,简单了解中外重要的节日及其英语表达方式.
【教学重难点】
1.重点:能听懂、会说、认读一月至八月的单词.能用“When's your birthday?”及回答“My birthday is in...”、“It's on the…of...”进行交流.
2.难点:新单词January, February的读音有一定难度;新单词一月至八月的正确排列顺序.
【教学准备】
日历一本, 新授单词用的图片、单词卡片,教学图片、教学音频等(有条件的学校可利用幻灯片、多媒体课件).

3.Free talk.
T: What day is today?
T: How many days are there in a week?
Ss: Seven.
T: What are they?
Ss: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
II. 新课呈现 (Presentation)
1.New words.
(1)教师利用日历、图片或单词卡片教单词month, year.
T: How many weeks are there in a month?
