ing，writing, missing game, filling and guessing game.

Teaching procedures

Step 1  Warming up & Revision

1. Greet the class.

2. Say the chant.

3. Free talk What time is it? It’s .... It’s time for .... What’s the weather like today?

4. Open your books on page 24. Play a Golden Finger game to revise the dialogue from the part of Let’s talk. T reads the sentences, Ss point to it on the books quickly and read it out, and the fastest one can have a golden finger.

5. Play a Spelling game to review the words of let’s learn.    

Step 2  Presentation & Practice

1. Review the sound of ir & ur/ ar & al. Show some words on the screen. Ask Ss to find out the words according to T’s sounds. Help the Ss choose and then check some individuals.

2. Practice the sounds.

  A. Listen and judge the sounds what I said.

  B. Listen and spell the words out according to my words.
