Step 1 Warming up and Revision
1. Greetings.
T: Hello, boys and girls!
Ss: Hi, Mr. Chen!
T: How are you?
Ss: Good. And you?
T: I’m fine. Thanks!
2. Look and say.
T: Boys and girls, we have learned some holidays before. What holiday is it? (儿童节的图片)
Ss: Children’s Day.

教师利用PPT引导学生复习已学过的节日Children’s Day,New Year’s Day,Teachers’ Day, National Day, Spring Festival。
Step 2 Presentation and Practice
1. T: In Western countries, there is a special holiday. What is it? (出示圣诞节图片)
Ss: 圣诞节。
T: Yes, it’s Christmas. Today we will learn “Christmas is coming”. (板书)
引导学生自己说出首字母需大写,字母“t”没有发音等注意事项。
T: Do you know something about Christmas?
Ss: 学生自由说说知道关于圣诞节的信息。
2. 播放录音一次,回答下列问题:
Q1: What’s Christmas?
Q2: Will people go to work? Will children go to school?
学生听音后回答Q1,Q2。
2. 学生阅读文章,划出问题:What do people have at Christmas? 的答案
T: What do people have at Christmas?
Ss: People have Christmas trees, lights and Santa.
3. 结合图片和实物教学Christmas tree, lights, Santa。
T: Look! What’s this?
Ss: 圣诞树。/ Christmas tree.
