They say their straws last for up to an hour, and they are tasteless and biodegradable (可生物降解的). The straws are recommended for use with cold drinks. The colder the drink, the longer one can use them. “As for hot drinks, it is not a good choice, in general, to drink through a straw. There is certainly a risk of getting burned. But when being used as a stirrer (搅拌器) for coffee, for example, for a few seconds, that’s totally fine.
