Teaching Procedure:
Ⅰ Pre-task preparation
Group competition:
Students work in four groups and do quick response in turns.
Ⅱ While-task procedure
1. Review language functions:
a. Greetings and introductions

c. Good wishes and congratulations
d. Asking for information
e. Likes, dislikes and preferences
f. Agreement and disagreement
g. Ask for permission

2. Students review the formulaic expressions by choosing the correct answer to the short dialogue.
3. Complete the dialogue.
a. Read the given sentences first.
b. Read the dialogue and encourage students to guess the situation and find out some key words to help them to complete the dialogue.
c. Check the answers together and explain some reading skills.
4. Brainstorming: Making a phone and Seeing a doctor.
Allow students to learn and practise patterns for making and responding.
