There are different ways to show people we care, one of which is “hugging”. Opinions about
“hugging” vary from person to person. Some think hugs have benefits while others find them
embarrassing.
Personally, I choose to hug someone I care. It’s a convenient and feasible way to form a
positive bond, especially between family members. For example, when Mom or I become unhappy,
Dad, who is not talkative, simply hugs mum or me, and we almost always feel better immediately!
What’s more, hugging makes people warm and less stressed. As students, we may be under great
pressure when we have an important exam or we have butterflies in our stomach when taking part
in a fierce race. At such critical moments, hugging contributes a lot to being self-confident and
energetic. It can bring out the best in ourselves!
In a word, hugging does do lots of good to us teenagers. (150)
